The APTS Library exists primarily to serve the needs of the students, faculty, and staff of the APTS community. It is also open to alumni, members of the BBTLA, ministers of the Assemblies of God and its affiliates, as well as the Christian community, who may need library services.

Official Borrowers
Students officially enrolled in a program during a given trimester at the main campus or any branch campus, regardless of course loads, will receive checkout privileges as described below, up to 25 books for two weeks. They will maintain their status if they are on campus during summer/winter breaks. Each student’s APTS ID card serves as their library card for checkout service.
Students who lose their APTS ID card must report the loss to the Circulation staff, who will give them one (1) week to locate it. If the card is not found, the student will be required to buy a replacement at the cost of PHP 100. Without an ID card, students are not allowed checkout privileges.

APTS alumni are permitted to use the library free of charge but have no e-resources and check-out privileges.
Individuals such as pastors, church leaders, and students at another school may use the library without checkout privileges. A per-day fee of PHP 50 will be charged for use of the library, and an additional PHP 50 per-day fee for using the internet service.
Non-APTS clients are not allowed to access the e-resources of the library. The Baguio-Benguet Theological Library Association (BBTLA) members may use the APTS
library.
a) Inter-library loan: the Inter-Library Loan (ILL) agreement between members - Librarians of member institutions allow patrons from other schools access to items they may need. An ILL patron may request up to five (5) items from her own school librarian, who will then make an official request to the APTS library. Books can be loaned for 2 weeks.
b) In-person use (no checkout): Members of the BBTLA and ILL must present a valid school ID and a written request from the librarian of their school in order to use the library in person. A per-day fee of Php 50 will be charged for use of the library, and an additional Php 50 per-day fee for
a. Regular Students – Maximum of 25 books for 2 weeks.
b. ELP, AC, and BBAM – Maximum of 5 for 2 weeks.
c. Student Spouses and dependents – 2 books for 2 weeks.
d. Independent Study – 50 books for 3 weeks.

Water is allowed in the library, but eating is strictly prohibited. If you have coffee, please
use a secure tumbler to avoid spills on the floor or books.Photocopying and scanning of library books are prohibited.
Reference, Dissertations, Thesis, and Periodical materials cannot be checked out.
Bring your library bag.
Circulation Details
Do not allow another student to use your library account to check out books. Library account suspension for 2 weeks will be applied for both parties.
A borrower is responsible for any books checked out to her. Inspect the books you borrow to note any damage. Report any damage you find to the worker at the Circulation Desk at the time of check-out, so you will not be charged for the damage.
Do not loan items you have borrowed to others. If a student is found passing books over to another person, both she and the one to whom she loaned the book will lose library privileges for two weeks. Return books promptly and place a hold on them for someone rather than handing them over.
If you intend to borrow many books, bring your own library bag, especially during the rainy season.
Renewals are allowed up to 4 times, depending on the book’s demand.
Faculty have the privilege of long-term loans for materials they need. If an item is locally accessible, they may request the purchase of another copy.
Reservation of available books is honored for 2 days.
Patrons may ask that books be placed on hold when the item they seek is unavailable. Hold requests are kept for 2 days. Occasionally, a book may be recalled if it is urgently needed.
Books may be placed on reserve by a faculty member. Reserve books may be checked out for a few hours or 1-2 days, depending on the instructions given by the faculty member who requested the reserve.
Any item removed from the library improperly is considered stolen. A student with stolen books will face immediate suspension for the current trimester on the first incident. On the second incident, they will be suspended for the year, and on the third, they will be expelled from APTS.
Use the OPAC to search for books available in the library collection.
APTS library is an open shelve, students/ users will be the ones to look for their needed books on the shelves.
Reference materials are not allowed to be checked- out.
For library materials to circulate and benefit everyone, patrons must keep track of their borrowed materials. Please return checked-out items promptly.
Renewals by email, phone, or text message are allowed. Overdue fines are Php 10.00 per day per book. Fines will be charged to the patron’s account. Exit clearance will not be signed for unreturned books.
Before you leave the city for an extended period, please return all books to avoid overdue fines. Lost books should be reported immediately in order to stop the accumulation of overdue charges. The patron responsible for the loss must pay for the replacement of the book. An additional $20.00 USD processing fee is charged.
A damaged book must be returned as soon as the damage is noticed so it can be repaired. If the damage is irreparable, the borrower will be charged for replacing the book. An additional $20.00 USD fee will be charged.
