One of the biggest
felt needs in the world today is for an increase in the
number of good leaders. This is true in all fields--secular,
social, and spiritual. The Christian world is also on the
hunt for good and Godly leaders who will be responsive
to God's call and to the ones they serve. A good seminary
education should adequately train such God-called leaders.
The tension is always felt between excellence and expediency.
In a world with near instant communication and "fast-tracking"
methods, the pressure to expedite everything and do it
quickly is constant. However, preparation and character
building cannot be rushed. These two elements are the core
ingredients of graduate school education. Over the past
42 years, APTS has built a reputation of solid academic
excellence while maintaining spiritual fervor. This year's
theme reflects a continuation of the seminary's historic
motto, "Zeal with Knowledge." Training
Leaders with a Heart for God embodies what
APTS aims to accomplish by training 21st century leaders
for Pentecostal/Charismatic ministry in today's chaotic
world.
So, whether a
candidate comes to APTS for a one-year Master of Arts degree
in Ministry, a two-year M.A. in Theology, a three-year
Master of Divinity degree, or one of our post-graduate
degrees (Master of Theology, Doctor of Ministry or PhD
in Theology), God's calling, good preparation in undergraduate
education, and ministry experience are essential.
APTS is looking
for "a few good men and women," who
will impact the future of Asia and the world. Remember,
APTS could be in your future!
