Ministerial Background & Experience
Assemblies of God Missionary/Professor, Asia Pacific Theological Seminary, Baguio City, Philippines

Assistant Professor/Chair Department of Biblical and Theological Studies, Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, ND

Assistant Professor of Religion, Southeastern College of the Assemblies of God

Senior Pastor Church in the City Assembly of God, Milwaukee, WI. Functioned in all the roles and carried out all the responsibilities of a typical senior pastor of an Assemblies of God Church.

Lecturer in adult continuing education program, Marquette University. Courses taught: Evil and a Good God, Working with Families of Terminally Ill Patients.

Chaplain and Bereavement Coordinator for a major hospice organization in the Milwaukee area. My job responsibilities included:
** Providing in home pastoral care and counseling for terminally ill patients, families and/or caregivers.
** Conducting educational seminars on spiritual issues related to terminal illness, death, dying and bereavement.
** Organizing and conducting semi-annual Memorial Services on behalf of previous patients. Implementing staff and volunteer training, grief support groups and grief management seminars.
** Performing various computer and administrative duties as needed and serving as a member of the core team administrative staff.
** Developed a relationship with a local Seminary and served as a Field Education supervisor teaching and evaluating practical ministry skills for Seminarians preparing for Pastoral work.

Part-time instructor at North Central Bible College

From October 1985 until October 1988 I was employed by Pan American World Services as Associate Chaplain on the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. My primary duties as Chaplain included:
** Leadership of a Multi-denominational religious community
** Weekly preaching in Sunday morning and evening worship services
** Teaching and overseeing various religious training programs
** Providing counseling for various spiritual and inter-personal problems
** Active hospital visitation, and performing various administrative duties

Because of the unique environment of Kwajalein, all Protestant denominations worship together. Consequently, my ministry experience has not been limited to only those individuals who share an Assemblies of God background. This situation provided me the rewarding opportunity to gain a broader perspective of God's working within various Christian denominations.

My seminary studies included a ten week internship in Hospital Chaplaincy and ministry to the sick. This program was carried out at the Lester E. Cox Medical Center, Springfield, MO, where I served as a student chaplain.

Areas of Research Interest, Writings and Teaching
Classical Christian Theism, Doctrine of God, Trinity, Scripture. North American Evangelicalism. I have a strong interest in theology and culture especially as they pertain to the implications of Post-Modernity and the Christian faith. My goals include being involved in a more sustained effort to bridge the gap between the Church and the Academy by making theological conversation more relevant to the local Church.
