  Ministerial Background
Prior to joining APTS as a faculty member, Judy served as a Bible school teacher in the Marshall Islands 1970-73, in Indonesia at Sekolah Teologi Minahasa 1975-76, Jakarta Bible School 1981-85, and Micronesia Bible College in Guam 1986-98. Judy assisted her husband Wayne who served as Area Director for the Assemblies of God World Missions for Pacific Oceania for 18 years and often traveled with him to the many island nations. Judy has served as a cross-cultural missionary since 1970 in many nations in the Asia Pacific Region. Her past experiences include training seminars, women’s ministries, music, youth and children’s ministries as well as a pastor’s wife. She has served as a licensed minister of the Assemblies of God since 1989.
 

Areas of Research Interest, Writings and Teaching
The title of her D.Min Dissertation is, “Mentoring Emerging Pacific Leaders in Fiji and Tonga.” Judy has published articles in the Pentecostal Evangel, Woman’s Touch, Mountain Movers and most recently in Journal of Asian Mission (September 2004). Wayne and Judy Cagle developed the Leadership Development Institute, training pastors and church leaders in the Asian context. She teaches Christian Education and Discipleship Ministries in the Church at APTS. She also coordinates the Doctor of Ministry program under the Post-Graduate Committee.

  Family and Personal Interest
Judy has played the violin since childhood. She enjoys participating on the APTS worship team and directing an APTS Choir. She enjoys walking and jogging. She is married to Dr. Wayne Cagle, and they have three grown, married daughters and five grandsons.
