Ministerial Background
Prior to joining the faculty of APTS, he directed International Correspondence Institute’s division office in Cebu for 7 years, taught at Immanuel Bible College, Cebu for 9 years, and founded and pastored New Creation Koinonia, Cebu for 13 years. He is an ordained minister of the Philippines General Council of the Assemblies of God. He also served as chairman of the Mandaue City Evangelical Churches Association in Cebu for three years. |

Areas of Research Interest, Writings and Teaching
He teaches Pastoral Counseling, Contemporary Issues in Counseling, and Church Administration. The title of his dissertation is “Understanding the Problem of Burnout among Pentecostal Clergy: A Filipino Perspective.”

Family and Personal Interest
In addition to teaching in a formal classroom setting, Lem preaches in local churches and district councils around the country. He is a counseling practitioner and, with his wife, holds marriage seminars among pastors and ministers in the Philippines. He is married to Rosanny Delfin Engcoy and they have two children: Gary Jay, 22, and Hazel Faith, 18. Lem plays lawn tennis at least three times a week. |
